Singapore — Day 2 Let the Fun Continue

Universal Studios Singapore, VivoCity Shopping Mall and IMM Mall

Universal Studios Singapore, a famous theme park in the country, is a playground for both the young and the young at heart. It’s a happy place for kids. The park offers a variety of rides, including some extreme ones for thrill-seekers. The most famous ride you can try is Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLON—just a 'simple' roller coaster ride. Haha!

There are also plenty of shows to enjoy, such as WaterWorld, The Blues Brothers, and the Special Effects Show. You'll even spot Hollywood characters like Gru and the Minions, as well as Sesame Street favorites like Elmo and Oscar the Grouch, strolling down the streets.

We started our day by taking pictures and then watched WaterWorld. The heat was intense before the show started, but it rained afterward.

I like to think the weather made us so hungry, haha! So, we decided to grab some pizza at Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor. Oh, and the place is air-conditioned—I loved that! The pizza was priced at PHP 3,000 (about USD 52.19) for six big slices bundled with pasta, soup and drinks plus brownies. Yummy! The place and food boosted our energy for the rest of the day!

Here’s the pasta and soup! Didn’t get a pic of the brownies and drinks, though!

After eating, my friend convinced me that we should all go on the Transformers 3D ride because it’s just a 'chill' ride. Oh okay, so we went for it. It was quick, but during the ride, I was really afraid I was going to throw up all the pizza I’d just eaten if it lasted any longer. I don’t think I’ll be convinced again about a ride being ‘chill’. Never again!

Here’s the pizza—one slice is as big as a plate!

The video below shows just how hungry I was while enjoying my pizza! Please excuse my face and those big bites.

This is the 'chill' ride I was talking about. I don't suggest filling up on pizza before hopping on. Haha!

Here are my favorite photos from Day 2, capturing all the amazing moments we experienced. No sun, heat, rain, or even fatigue can stop me from getting my photos taken—only a drained phone and power bank can! Haha!

It was late in the afternoon when we took the free train ride from Universal Studios to VivoCity.

We had dinner at Food Republic in VivoCity, and after a short rest, we headed to IMM Mall for some shopping. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capture any videos there, but we were able to shop, thanks to the many promos and discounts!
