Singapore — Day 1 The Adventure Begins

Merlion Park, Gardens by the Bay, Flower Dome & Supertree Observatory, Cloud Forest, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Newton Food Centre, and Mustafa Centre

Merlion Park is so nice! We were here at 9 AM, and I wished we had come earlier or at night. It’s a great place to walk around and hang out with family or friends. Next time, I’ll visit in the evening to enjoy the night lights vibe. This was when I got a nosebleed from the extreme heat—it was so hot! My umbrella, cap, and mini fan couldn’t handle it. Please try to come earlier or at night to best enjoy this place!

After Merlion Park, we went straight to Gardens by the Bay and enjoyed the Flower Dome, Supertree Observatory, and Cloud Forest—all within the garden. The best part is that the area is air-conditioned. Amazing! Thankfully, my nosebleed stopped once we got here. I really enjoyed it because it was nice and cool.

By the way, check out some of the best photos from Day 1! Even though the weather was super hot, we still managed to capture some great shots! Haha! Hope you enjoy them!

We had a quick coffee and cake at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Wow, the coffee is not so budget friendly! Haha! But anyway, since our feet were tired, we just needed to sit and chill for a bit. After this, we headed back to the hotel to rest and change outfits. Oh, by the way, the place is nice!

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee never disappoints. The cake is absolutely delicious, especially if you’re a strawberry lover!

We visited Newton Food Centre and had dinner there. The place is big, and there are lots of food options. My friend wanted to try the chili crab, so we ordered one. I’m allergic to seafood, but I wanted to taste the sauce since I felt weak when it was served. So, I took an antihistamine first, haha, and tried the sauce. It was so good! Haha! I highly recommend trying the chili crab. The price is PHP 2,500 (about USD 43.64), and it’s definitely worth it since four people shared it. Check out the video below—it looks really yummy!

We wrapped up Day 1 by checking out Mustafa Centre for souvenirs. There were plenty of affordable chocolates, coffee, and souvenirs like shirts, keychains, and fridge magnets. I didn’t manage to capture a video inside—I completely forgot due to being tired and the crowd. I was also busy searching for the 'cheapest' souvenirs. 🤣 I ended up buying some for less than PHP 2,000 (about USD 34.93). 👌 I remembered to take a video while we were waiting for our Grab car. Below is the street in front of Mustafa Centre—it’s the only video I have. After that, we went back to the hotel to rest and sleep.
