Singapore — 3 Days of Fun in a 5-Day Itinerary

Below is my actual itinerary for my Singapore trip. I travelled with friends on my first international trip. It was a quick trip, but it was full of fun.

TRAVEL DAY: DAVAO - SINGAPORE via Scoot Airlines. Please arrive early to avoid any hassle during the check-in process, especially at immigration. We arrived at Davao Airport at 1 PM, giving us enough time for our 5:45 PM flight. We landed in Singapore at 9:20 PM. Immigration in Singapore is automated (amazing, super high-tech). Do not take photos and videos of the automated immigration machines, even from a distance. After getting the SIM card for internet access, we booked a GrabCar to take us to our hotel.

The Scoot Airlines check-in counter opened at 2 PM.

Did you spot my purple folder in the pic? 🧐 It’s my first international trip, so I’ve packed every document I can think of — you name it, I’ve got it!

DAY 1: Merlion Park, Gardens by the Bay, Flower Dome & Supertree Observatory, Cloud Forest, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Newton Food Centre, and Mustafa Centre

I suggest that you go to Merlion Park as early in the morning as possible if you plan to visit during the daytime. We were there at 9 AM, and it was so hot (literally, I had a nosebleed). 😫 The place is really nice if you want to hang out with friends with a view or take a walk. Go early or in the evening. The Flower Dome and Cloud Forest are air-conditioned, and they’re the best! I love it here! Don’t miss Newton Food Centre - the food is delicious. For souvenirs, there are affordable options at Mustafa Centre!

Travel Thoughts

Work? That’s great. But work + travel? Now that’s the perfect combo!

DAY 2: Universal Studios Singapore, VivoCity Shopping Mall and IMM Mall

Universal Studios is awesome, especially if you love fun or breathtaking rides. Kids will definitely enjoy this place. If you're not a fan of rides, no worries! You can stroll around, take some pics, then just chill at Starbucks since it's cool there—aircon, haha! Don't forget to bring an umbrella, cap, mini fan, and extra shirts. It's hot, then suddenly it rains. We took a free train from Universal Studios to VivoCity for an early dinner. I love their food! After that, we headed straight to IMM Mall for shopping—and yes, there are plenty of sales, discounts, and promos there!

Travel Thoughts

Life is a gift from God. A gift is meant to be enjoyed. So enjoy your life! Don’t just work all the time; make sure to take a vacation too!

DAY 3: Suntec City Fountain of Wealth, Chinatown, Orchard Road, Takashimaya Shopping Centre, and Gardens by the Bay at night

We couldn't make a wish at the Suntec City Fountain of Wealth because it was closed, so we just took a picture and made our wishes in our hearts. We went to Chinatown to buy more souvenirs—I like the vibe here compared to Mustafa Centre, and the prices are almost the same. After that, we headed to Orchard Road for more shopping and souvenirs. We had dinner at the Food Court of Takashimaya Shopping Mall—I absolutely love Takashimaya, so many delicious food options to choose from. I was basically this emoji, heart-eyes—😍. Lastly, we decided to see the Supertrees at night, so we went back to Gardens by the Bay. We're so happy we did!

Travel Thoughts

A plane ticket is more effective than the most famous motivational quote.

TRAVEL DAY: SINGAPORE - DAVAO via Scoot Airlines. After breakfast, we headed straight to the airport to explore the beautiful Changi Airport—known as the best airport in Asia and one of the best in the world for its immigration services—and to make sure we wouldn’t miss the Jewel Rain Vortex. We checked in at Scoot Airlines, then roamed around the airport and visited the Jewel Rain Vortex (the world’s tallest indoor waterfall). When we arrived, there was no water yet since it only starts at 11 AM. We decided to wait until 11 AM, took a quick photo, and then sprinted to the immigration area (the struggle was real 🫨) because our flight was at 1 PM. Thankfully, we got through immigration smoothly, and as a bonus, we managed to buy perfumes at Duty Free—super discounted! Bye, Singapore! I’ll bring my family next time. At 4:50 PM… We’re back in Davao!
